SALARY: £21,743 per annum

HOURS: 37 hours per week (part time will be considered)

JULY21C001 Project Officer – Breakthrough 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced project officer to join our team to deliver the Breakthrough project across Coventry. Breakthrough is an ESF and National Lottery funded project, helping people across Coventry tackle the financial barriers they face to gaining and sustaining employment, access education and training, and take a full and active role in their local community.

With your proven experience of working in deprived communities you will help people to tackle financial barriers in order to gain sustainable employment and access education and training opportunities.

As part of this role you will:

  • Support delivery of group and 1:1 outreach/drop in sessions;
  • Work at a variety of community locations including schools, libraries & Family Hubbs (remote working is in place during Covid 19 restrictions.
  • Identify financial wellbeing status and provide support;
  • Deliver financial capability training;
  • Raise awareness of the programme amongst communities and other organisations.

You must have an understanding of the financial barriers facing people from deprived communities and experience of working with vulnerable groups.

A driving licence and car that can be used for work purposes is also essential.
