Senior Youth Worker (Adoption Project)

SALARY: £11 per hour (FTE £21,450)

CONTRACT: Fixed term until 31st July 2021 (with a potential for extension subject to further funding)

HOURS: 10 hours per month (2x Saturday mornings 10am-1pm plus 4 hours office time)

Role Description:

At community charity, Groundwork South, we are changing places, changing lives across the South of England, one green step at a time.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Youth Worker to play a pivotal role in the implementation and delivery of Groundwork South’s Fusion project working with Adopted young people. The Fusion project is a year-long course of sessions, workshops and trips to various Hampshire attractions for Adopted young people aged between 8-18.

The central focus of the role involves supporting the Project Manager with delivering outstanding services for young people consisting of; planning a programme of activities, supervising staff, monitoring & evaluation and direct face to face delivery with participants of the Fusion project in partnership with Adopt South.

The role will include supporting the Project Manager with implementing and quality assuring best practice procedures relating to safeguarding, volunteer management and health and safety in order to achieve a safe environment for young people to grow and develop.
