Contract:        Until the end of May 2021 with the possibility of extension

Salary:            Circa £31,000

Groundwork London is a leading social and environmental regeneration charity delivering over 500 projects each year, many of which support young people to achieve their goals through meaningful interventions which amplify their voice and increase their involvement in volunteering and social action.

As part of Groundwork’s expanding mental wellbeing offer, we are recruiting a Wellbeing Counsellor to build on our pre-existing youth projects in the London Boroughs of Southwark and Redbridge respectively.

The Wellbeing Counsellor will have the relevant experience and accreditation to provide wellbeing support for children and young people through the delivery of high-quality, outcome-informed, focused and evidence-based interventions in one-to-one and group formats for service users with a range of needs, from the low-level (e.g. low mood, low level anxiety, etc.) to the more complex (e.g. comorbid presentations, trauma, gang affiliation etc.).

While your focus will be the delivery of therapeutic interventions for your own caseload, you will also be responsible for providing training relating to different aspects of service delivery to other members of your team, and also representing Groundwork at clinical and referral review meetings with other services across the Boroughs of Southwark and Redbridge.
