Avondale Park
Practical conservation opportunities for volunteers at Avondale Park. The project focuses on enhancing specific conservation and biodiversity priorities identified in the parks management plan and through consultation with local people.
About Avondale Park
In April 2022 Groundwork was awarded funding by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Local Authority to deliver a range of practical conservation opportunities for volunteers at Avondale Park. The project is part of the wider Notting Dale Future Neighbourhood scheme (GLA funded) and focuses on enhancing specific conservation and biodiversity priorities identified in the parks management plan and through consultation with local people.

The aim of the project is to engage local people and groups, and to establish a volunteering group for the park. Groundwork is responsible for delivering a regular volunteer day, working on a range of practical conservation tasks in the park as agreed with the park’s management.
