The iconic Rooftop Garden at Lyric Hammersmith Theatre is ready for its next chapter. After 16 years of bringing joy to our community, we’re embarking on an exciting transformation, and we need YOU to help shape its future. 

Whether you’re a theatre regular, a curious neighbour, or someone who’s never stepped foot in our garden, your perspective is invaluable. This is your chance to influence how one of Hammersmith’s most unique spaces evolves. 

What We’re Building Together 

We’re partnering with the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre to create more than just a garden, we’re designing a living, breathing space that reflects the heart and soul of Hammersmith’s diverse community. 

Together, we’re creating a space that will: 

Celebrate Nature A biodiversity haven supporting local wildlife while providing a green sanctuary above the urban landscape 

Build Community An inclusive gathering place where connections flourish and wellbeing takes root 

Honour Cultural Heritage A design that reflects the Lyric’s rich history and the theatre’s mission while looking boldly toward the future 

Embrace Sustainability Climate-smart solutions that work with nature, not against it 

Inspire Wonder Multi-sensory experiences that surprise and delight visitors of all ages and abilities 

“For over 15 years our Roof Garden has been an open green space for our audiences, artists and the people of Hammersmith & Fulham. As we embark on this exciting next chapter we’d love to hear from as many people as possible, whether you currently use the garden or not.
