Green Construction (Retrofit) Skills Bootcamp

Prepare for a green construction career with this fully funded 5-week training programme
The Green Construction Skills Bootcamp is a fully funded, 5-week programme designed to prepare Londoners for careers in green construction and retrofit installation.
This course is delivered by Groundwork London in collaboration with Community Co-Working, combining practical skills, accredited training and real industry experience.
Skills Bootcamps are funded by the Mayor of London and the Department for Education as part of the Skills for Life campaign.
What You’ll Learn
- Level 2 Award in Green Construction (Retrofit)
- Health & Safety in construction
- CSCS preparation and test
- Practical hand-tool and onsite skills
- Carbon Literacy training
- Employability support, CV help and interview preparation
- 5-day work experience placement
Key Programme Details
- Duration: 5 weeks (4 weeks training + 1 week work experience)
- Delivery Format: In-person practical training and classroom learning
- Location: Community Co-Working, Fleet House, 8–12 New Bridge Street, London EC4V 6AL
- Start Dates: Starting January — your advisor will confirm the best start date during registration
Eligibility
To join this Skills Bootcamp, you must:
- Not be currently in full-time education
- Be aged 18+
- Live in a London borough
- Be unemployed, returning to work, self-employed, or employed and wanting to upskill
- Have proof of right to work in the UK

Practical Information
- Moderate physical work
- Comfortable, warm clothing recommended
- Bring refreshments/packed lunch
- Steel toe-cap boots required (bring your own or we can provide)
- All tools provided
- Positive attitude and timekeeping essential
