The Mayor of London EURO 2020 Grants Programme

The UEFA EURO 2020 is coming to London. As part of the Mayor’s strategy for sport and social integration, the Mayor of London EURO 2020 Grants Programme will see up to £525,000 invested into community events and projects around our city – and most importantly, if you’re a Londoner, this money will be open to you.

The aim of the Grant Programme is for all Londoners to have the chance to engage with EURO 2020 by creating positive, meaningful opportunities for local communities across the capital. Successful grant applications will enrich and bring communities together, tackle prejudices, improve health and break down barriers.

About the Grants Programme

The Programme is separated into three strands:

  • Celebrate as One Fund
  • Free Kicks Fund
  • Community Fund

All strands of the Programme aim to use EURO 2020 as an opportunity to improve social integration, but how that might look is up to you. Depending on your requirements, a specific fund might be the best choice for your pitch, but you can apply for all three funds.

Celebrate as One Fund:

This fund will invest in one-off community events that celebrate EURO 2020, incorporate some kind of physical activity, and address the key social integration issues of social isolation and/or social mixing. Physical activity should feature somewhere in the event, but it doesn’t need to be the main focus.
£500 – £1,000 per project.

Free Kicks Fund:

This fund will give grants for organisations to run 12 sessions of informal football-focused activity. The fund will use EURO 2020 to improve physical activity for Londoners and engage with groups who are traditionally less active.
£1,000 – £4,000 per project.

Community Fund:

This fund will be allocated to community-led projects which have a theme that links either to sport (not restricted to football) or Europe in London, with the aim of bringing people together during EURO 2020.
£4,000 – £10,000 per project.
