Tesco Fruit and Veg Grants

Tesco Fruit and Veg Grants is administered and managed by Groundwork. Every 4 months, 3 schools or community organisations in your area are awarded £1500, £1000 or £500. You simply have to apply via the link below, and if selected your cause will go into local Tesco stores where customers can vote for you to win the first, second or third cash amount.

 

The Grant has a focus on healthy food initiatives for children’s and young people’s projects, and is open to schools, PTA’s, voluntary/community organisations, registered charities, health bodies, Parish/Town councils, social enterprises, Community Interest Companies (with restrictions), community councils, local authorities and housing organisations.

From growing and cooking to building confidence and connection around healthy eating, our work is rooted in what works for communities. This includes working with schools to embed food growing, supporting families through community hubs, and helping young people develop skills and independence through hands-on learning.

Our partnership with Tesco builds on that work, helping to ensure even more communities are able to benefit, and has seen us work together to support community groups across London with over £9 million in funding.

Discover the Details for this Funding

The application process is relatively straight forward, and hopefully quicker than a full funding application. If your project is approved and shortlisted; it will be displayed in your local Tesco stores for a 4-month voting period, and the top placed project will receive up to £1500, the 2nd – £1000 and the 3rd – £500. Funding must be used within a year. Previous winners are free to re-apply.

We would be more than happy to discuss further and answer any questions you may have. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, however, if you are able to get your application in before June 15th you stand a much higher chance of your project being selected in the next round.  

If you don’t get through to the stores this round your application will be kept for 18 months and automatically entered into future rounds.
