Business Energy Efficiency Cambridge & Peterborough (BEECP) Marketing Officer

Salary: £22,643 to £24,256 pro rata per annum depending on experience

Hours: 15 hours a week (until 31 December 2018)

Location: Alconbury Weald near Huntingdon

We are seeking a highly enthusiastic and dedicated BEECP Marketing Officer to provide administrative and marketing support for our Business Energy Efficiency project which is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).  This project will drive growth in the low carbon economy by supporting SMEs across Cambridge & Peterborough to implement business energy efficiency initiatives through a single point of contact, tailored to business need. Beneficiaries will deliver energy efficiency savings, reduce carbon emissions and realise the associated business benefits; reduced operating costs, competitiveness and business growth. The BEECP Marketing Officer will play a vital role in supporting our BEECP Energy Efficiency Advisors by identifying and securing suitable events for them to attend and assist in collating, preparing and creating content for press releases, publications, social media and websites for the BEECP project.  The role also includes developing relationships with key media contacts, attending events, monitoring and reporting on marketing and communication activities, maintenance of project database as well as general admin duties.

The successful applicant will be able to work as part of a team, ideally have office and marketing experience, as well as photography/picture editing skills and be competent in the use of social media. You will have an understanding and interest in environmental issues, including those affecting organisations. You will also have excellent verbal and communication skills, excellent creative writing skills as well as strong IT skills and a willingness to travel where required. The position may include some evening and weekend working as required and a full driving licence and access to a car is necessary.
