The Small Change, Big Difference campaign sees nine boroughs across the capital hosting events, workshops, food waste dinners and a wide variety of food-related fun to help Londoners eat better, waste less and recycle what can't be eaten.
The Small Change, Big Difference team will be working with local residents - young, old and everyone in-between - to create local pop-up dining events, raw food art photography and food-related installations by local artists. The campaign will share mouth-watering recipes, exclusive online cookery classes as well as life hacks and tips to save time, money and get all of us better at recycling the bits that can't be eaten.
As part of the campaign, Groundwork London are working with WRAP to offer free, exciting, and interactive workshops to community groups and primary school children across Lambeth, Hackney, Merton, Tower Hamlets, Bexley, Croydon, Hounslow, Islington and Sutton.
So far our Primary School students have got stuck in to creating their own leftovers recipe book as well as holding their own campaign day at school to spread the message of reducing food waste. Meanwhile our community groups have learnt valuable tips to help their shopping go further; saving food waste and money.
