Celtic Manor’s Energy and Environmental Manager Joel Kirby has led the initiatives which have resulted in the accreditation since his appointment in September 2016.
He said:
We are delighted to have regained our Green Dragon Level 3 award after many years. This year has been a great success for the Celtic Manor Resort’s environmental initiatives and the whole team deserves massive credit for getting involved and making a real difference. We’ll continue to improve and look for new ways to be as environmentally friendly as possible in the future
Groundwork’s Chief Executive, Katy Stevenson said:
The Celtic Manor Resort has clearly made big changes including the introduction of CHP (Combined Heat and Power) for the main hotel, as well as further installation of LED lamps and low flow showerheads. Significant effort has been made by the whole team and we are delighted to have accredited the resort at level three, with plans to move up to levels 4 and 5 in coming years
