Wellies in the Woods
Wellies in the Woods is a FREE resource to help creative play in the outdoors for toddlers and young children (and everyone young at heart!)
This page is packed with fun and simple outdoor activities for parents and children with things to do for all seasons because whatever the weather, you can still have fun outside! They are designed for children of pre-school and early years age, but there’s nothing stopping everyone from getting involved too!
Click below to find activities you can do yourselves for all seasons, and scroll down to the bottom of the page to find MORE resources and a link to our eventbrite page to book a FREE place on our upcoming sessions!
Most of these activities can be done at any time of the year but we have grouped them together for ease
SPRING
SUMMER
AUTUMN
WINTER
If you can’t get to a session, or you want to have a go yourself, we also have videos (recorded during Covid, but still really helpful) that you can watch with your children that will guide you to create activities yourself. We refer to story books in these videos but you don’t need to have them, if you watch the videos via youtube, there will be links to websites, or you can either find them online via the ‘further resources’ button below, or just go straight to the activities!
MORE RESOURCES!
The Wellies in the Woods courses help parents and children explore local wildlife and get creative with nature together. You can find out where the nearest one to you is by clicking below to our eventbrite page, and they are totally free!
The further resources button below will give you free downloadable worksheets to support activities, links to online book websites, extra videos showing how you can do these activities in your own space, and so much more!
