Wellies in the Woods

Background

Thanks to funding from Bupa UK, we will be delivering Wellies in the Woods, an 8 week outdoor activity programme for families with children aged 5 and under to explore local wildlife and get creative with nature together.

What we’re doing

Our programme of events will take place every Wednesday at Clayton Childrens Centre in Clayton Park.

Each session is focused around a popular children’s book (e.g. The Gruffalo, Stick Man and the Very Hungry Caterpillar), with story time, nature activities and a healthy snack for the children.

The aim of these sessions is to improve young people’s confidence, awareness of nature, physical activity and communication skills.
