Background

We’re working with a group of young women aged 11-18 to facilitate a girl only youth group in Stockport, supporting them to learn vital skills for the future and develop their confidence.

What we’re doing

Weekly sessions at Tiviot Dale Methodist Chuch aim to create a safe space for young women, with topics featured such as:

  • Self-confidence
  • Social media
  • Identity
  • Leadership

This project creates a safe culture for young women in the community, allowing them to express their opinions, learn new skills and host local events, such as Football tournaments.
