At Groundwork Greater Manchester, we’re committed to Safeguarding and we all look out for each other. We work to empower learners to safeguard themselves and others and develop their resilience. When we work with partners, they have a responsibility to meet our high standards of protection for children and adults in their services.

The happiness, safety and welfare of all our staff, volunteers, visitors and learners is important to us.

If you have any concerns about yourself or another person’s welfare, please speak to your tutor or a member of staff you feel comfortable with and they will be happy to raise your concern with a member of the Safeguarding Team.

All staff and learners are appropriately screened on recruitment, receive appropriate training and/or support so that they can act on any concern that may suggest an individual is at risk of harm. All our staff and learners know how to implement the safeguarding policy and why they have to do so.

We have a commitment to protecting all participants and staff. Everyone at Groundwork accepts their responsibility and accountability for safeguarding and challenging others is acceptable and practiced professionally.

We pride ourselves on our culture of Groundwork being a place where staff and participants feel safe and secure in their work/activities.

We will ensure that all necessary steps are taken to protect people from harm and to identify appropriate avenues of support.
