We’re hosting a series of events to bring the local community closer to the Bolton canal environment:
Guided walks: Join us on guided walks to share ideas for your local nature spaces, learn how to conduct ecological surveys & use the iNaturalist app
Community consultations: Join us to share your ideas about redesigning your community landscape for people and nature

- Your Vision – Community Consultation: Share your thoughts and ideas about redesigning your community landscape for people and nature! Friday 24th April, 10:30am
- Dawn Chorus Guided Walk: Join us for an early morning nature walk. Saturday 9th May, 7:30am-9:30am, meet from 7am
- Guided Nature Walk with Russ Hedley: Free guided nature walk along the Bolton Bury Canal with local Naturalist Russ Hedley. Sunday 17th May, meet from 1:30pm
- Your Vision – Community Consultation: Share your thoughts and ideas about redesigning your community landscape for people and nature! Tuesday 19th May, 6-8pm
- Bee Orchids Guided Walk: Join us on a summer walk as we search for local Bee Orchids! Friday 19th June, 2pm-4pm, meet from 1:30pm
- Butterflies of Bolton Guided Walk: Join us for a canal side walk as we look for local butterflies. Sunday 19th July, 11am-1pm, meet from 10:30am
- Bat Spotting Guided Walk: Join us for a guided walk as we search for local bats. Friday 4th September, 6pm-8pm, meet from 5:30pm
- Creative Spaces – Consultation Drop Ins: Help Bolton at Home design facilities to highlight the heritage stories and wildlife found on the canal. Find out more through Bolton at Home’s website
