Groundwork has been working in Hattersley in partnership with Onward Homes to engage local residents in sustainable activities which help develop and enhance their skills, whilst also providing opportunities for local residents to connect with nature, their environment and each other.

We want to create a green neighbourhood network, bringing together volunteers from different greenspaces in Hattersley, and we need your help!

How you can get involved

We’ll be running a series of activities across greenspaces in Hattersley to create a green neighbourhood network. Each session will focus on a different skill such as composting, harvesting seeds or creating homemade fertilisers. No prior experience in needed – just a willingness to get your hands dirty!
