Are you interested in starting a career in the construction sector?

Groundwork runs a number of training courses where you can learn sector-specific skills which make you ready for a job in construction, including

  • Joinery
  • Plumbing
  • Plastering
  • Floor & wall tiling
  • Painting & decorating
  • Practical retrofit skills

Alongside learning a number of new practical skills you’ll have the support of a dedicated Employment Coach who will help you with things such as CV writing, interview technique and building your confidence so you’re ready to take the first step into employment.

Current courses in construction:

1. Skills Bootcamp – Stockport

The Skills Bootcamp is for anyone aged 19+ who is:

  • Employed either full-time or part-time
  • Unemployed
  • Self-employed

16-week courses take place with our delivery partner B4Box in Stockport on the following dates:

  • 16th September 2024 to 16th December 2024
