Parent/Carer Champions Network Coordinator

Location: The Nest in Peckham with a requirement to travel to other offices and locations as required

Contract: Fixed Term until March 2021

Salary: £28,000

Hours: 37.5 hours p/w

Groundwork London is a leading social and environmental regeneration charity delivering over 500 projects across London each year, many of which support young people to achieve their goals through meaningful interventions which amplify their voice and increase involvement in volunteering and social action.

The Trust is seeking to recruit a Parent/Carer Champion Network Coordinator to support the Nest Programme in Peckham, and who will work closely with the Service Manager and parents/carers in the London Borough of Southwark.

To lead on this innovative and exciting Champions Network, we are recruiting a Parent/Carer Champion Network Coordinator with the experience to deliver a community-based volunteer Champions Network which will serve as an exemplary model of good practice under the mental health and wellbeing support agenda of the Nest Project and the borough.

The successful candidate will be an excellent team player with a strong understanding of the issues confronting young people, their parents and carers today. They will have the ability to liaise with and build relationships at all levels of the borough community, possess excellent training and coaching skills, and have the leadership experience and qualities necessary to recruit, develop and manage the team of volunteer Parent/Carer Champions who will support and deliver the programme across the borough.
