Tailored Learning in County Durham

When did Tailored learning begin?
We’ve been proudly delivering Tailored learning in partnership with Durham Learn since at least 2021. Over the years, our team has supported local people through a wide range of skills and hobby-based learning opportunities.
Our Goal
Our mission is to introduce – or reintroduce – local people to learning by encouraging them to take that first small step into education. Each year, we offer a varied programme of courses designed to build confidence, skills, and community connections.
Past topics have included:
- Cooking and healthy eating
- Gardening and growing your own food
- Recycled crafts and creative upcycling
- Getting more active in your local community
What We’ve Achieved So Far
In the past year alone, we’ve worked with over 400 learners. Every participant gained new skills, met new people, and many went on to pursue further or more formal learning opportunities.
Get Involved
- As a participant: Keep an eye out for our upcoming courses at community venues near you.
- As a venue or volunteer: If you run a community centre or are interested in hosting a course, we’d love to hear from you.
