Connect to Work is a voluntary programme to help tackle economic inactivity by providing a specific form of support targeted at the right people at the right time, based on their individual circumstances.


Knife Crime Mural
Our aim was to raise awareness of knife crime and its impact on individuals and communities. We wanted not only to educate young people but also to empower them to take part in a meaningful, powerful initiative.
Water Literacy Programme
A learning experience, here to inspire, motivate and educate professionals to play their part in addressing the environmental impact of water scarcity in the UK.


Wellies in the Woods
Groundwork’s Wellies in the Woods brings outdoor play and learning to young children and their families in communities in need of extra provision.
Energy Redress
Energy Redress is a project we deliver across Cumberland supporting households in becoming more energy efficient.


Cumberland Futures
Cumberland Futures provides a comprehensive, voluntary employability and personal development program, individually tailored to meet each participant’s unique and complex needs, helping them progress towards employment or further education.
Northern Futures
Northern Futures offers an end-to-end voluntary employability and personal development package tailored to the unique and complex needs of each participant; moving them closer to employment or education.


West Cumbria Mental Health Partnership
Our range of services are aimed at supporting people who may be experiencing anxiety, depression or other issues which are having an impact on their mental health and wellbeing.
ReConnect
REConnect is an exciting 5-year project funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, bringing the River Esk and its coastal streams back to life.


Empower Her
Empower Her is a project we currently are delivering in East Durham, for women aged 18-24. We do interactive workshops, creative projects, journaling and group discussions.
Stronger Shores
Stronger Shores is a partnership project led by South Tyneside Council and funded by Defra as part of the £200 million Flood and Coastal Innovation Programmes which are managed by the Environment Agency. The programmes will drive innovation in flood and coastal resilience and adaptation to a changing climate.


Blooming Together
Blooming Together fosters community connections by creating a welcoming, inclusive space for individuals of all ages and backgrounds to engage in meaningful activities with others. Through shared experiences, participants have built friendships, reduced social isolation, and gained a strong sense of belonging
DurhamWorks
DurhamWorks is a dedicated programme for young people aged 16-24 living in County Durham who are not in education, employment or training.


Grow Your Own
Grow Your Own is a fantastic outdoor programme which offers gardening & cooking opportunities across Stockton. The programme has been funded through Stockton Borough Council and aims to show communities how we can grow and cook at a low cost, whilst bringing residents and communities together.
Youth Work- Co Durham
Our Youth Workers and partner organisations provide workshops and activities to increase self-awareness, develop knowledge and conflict-resolution skills. Exploring topics such as mental health, drugs and alcohol, masculinity, healthy relationships and enabling YP to make informed choices.


Eden Hill Peoples Centre
The current project is a three-year programme, where we work with local partners to build long-term resilience and sustainability of the centre. The centre offers safe space for the community to access a variety of support.
Move Forward
Move Forward is a flexible holistic careers support programme providing participants with an introductory pathway, to develop the right skills to thrive into the expansion of a greener economy – it will focus on engagement, progression and sustainment.


Land of Oak & Iron Heritage Centre
The Land of Oak & Iron Heritage Centre is part of our trading arm. It covers 177 sq kilometres of the beautiful and historic Derwent Valley and its surrounding areas. We have our cafe, shop and regularly host events!
Northern Directions
Northern Directions offers an end-to-end voluntary employability and personal development package tailored to the unique and complex needs of each participant; moving them closer to employment or education.


Blue Influencers
Blue mentors role is to recruit young people aged 10-14 to become ‘Blue Influencers’, help young people impact the environment through youth social action projects that benefit their communities, while helping them to create lasting and meaningful connections with nature.
Revitalising our Estuaries
Revitalising our Estuaries (RoE) is an exciting programme of river estuary restoration that responds to the dual climate and biodiversity crisis. We work in partnership to improve river estuaries across the northeast for local people and businesses as well as the rare and iconic wildlife that our rivers are home to.


The Greenhouse
The Greenhouse is part of our trading arm. The Greenhouse, is a social enterprise. Our offices provide high-quality meeting and conference facilities.
Tyne Estuary Partnership
Invested in the long-term environmental and economic enhancement of the estuary; this strong, strategic, influential partnership is making a meaningful and sustainable impact on the River Tyne and the region as a whole.


Wild Oysters Project
Healthy oyster beds are hugely productive, with a rich biodiversity of associated species, and have a positive effect on the health of the entire ecosystem. This project will create rehabilitation hubs across the UK to secure national ecosystem recovery of native oysters and the services they provide.
