Warrington Welcomes New BID Manager

Warrington BID has appointed a new manager, with a focus on promoting the town as a choice location to visit and do business in.

Amy Dawber has been appointed as Warrington Business Improvement District Manager. She will work with the local business community to improve the town and boost the local economy.

Promoting Warrington
Amy’s priorities will include supporting local businesses by promoting the towns vibrant retail, leisure and hospitality offer. She will also work with key stakeholders to deliver a programme of festivals and events that Warrington will host in the near future.

Amy said “I’m delighted to be joining Groundwork’s BID team. There is already a fantastic relationship with the local business community and I’m really looking forward to building on these relationships and working together to showcase Warrington as a location of choice.

“Warrington has a great history of independent businesses and major brands coming together to create a town centre that local residents can be proud of.”

There are many great reasons to visit Warrington.  I am really excited to have an opportunity to play my part in helping to put the town on the map. 

The Business Improvement District (BID) is a business led partnership that helps local businesses and authorities work together to improve the local trading environment.

Jane Hough is Deputy Director of BIDS and Business Services at Groundwork Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside who manage the Warrington BID.  In welcoming Amy’s appointment to the team Jane said: “We are delighted to welcome Amy into the role and have no doubt that with her experience, energy and enthusiasm she will be a great asset to the town’s appeal.
