Background

Our Youth Work team supports Greater Manchester’s youth to connect with others and have access to resources which help them to learn and develop their potential. In Tameside, we’ve engaged over 100 local young people through previous programmes and ongoing youth advisory boards.

What we’re doing

Our team will be running weekly Nature Vibes sessions for 11-18 year olds, starting at our Tameside office site and leading onto greening projects around Hattersley. These activities will support young people to:

  • Cultivate ecological awareness and stewardship
  • Promote physical health through outdoor activities.
  • Build a strong sense of community
  • Empower them with leadership skills, teamwork, and a deeper understanding of ecological issues, driving positive change in their lives and the local environment
