What Groundwork are doing
Groundwork’s trainers will deliver the City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Retrofit to two cohorts of ten learners throughout the 2026-27 academic year, supporting people to start their careers in the retrofit sector.
The course will run from our site in Ashton, Tameside two days per week over a five week period. Participating learners will have the opportunity to gain the City & Guilds qualification and Carbon Literacy certification, providing them with the knowledge and qualifications needed to start work in construction and/or retrofit.
Courses will start in March 2026 and May 2026 and will be available to people who are:
- Aged 19-25
- Greater Manchester residents
- In receipt of Universal Credit
