Environmental Business Advisor

Salary: £22,591 – £25,863 pro rata per annum, depending on experience
Contract: 1 year fixed term contract (with potential for extension)
Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week) or Part-time (minimum 22.5 hours per week)
Location: Based in Suffolk or Essex but covering both areas

Groundwork East has over 30 years of experience in delivering bespoke projects that use the environment as a catalyst for building a more sustainable future.  Our business service offering is developing and growing, and as a result we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Environmental Business Advisor able to evidence their history of working with businesses to identify their carbon footprint, energy and resource use to join our team.

As an Environmental Business Advisor, you will deliver on-site and distant environmental and energy efficiency support, work with emission calculator tools, understand business costs (both environmental and financial) and find opportunities for improvement through energy efficiency measures. This includes support provided through environmental audits and reviews, carbon footprinting, environmental legislation and the development of sustainability and carbon management strategies. You will also present this support in relevant intervention templates tailoring them to the clients’ needs and provide follow up support as required.

The successful candidate will have a degree, post grad or professional environmental management qualification, as well as a proven track record in undertaking carbon footprinting services to businesses. The role requires a valid driving license, access to a vehicle with a willingness to travel, excellent communication, organisational and diplomacy skills.
