Two Project Officers

Salary£22,870 to £23,669
Location: Based at either Ipswich, Norwich or Colchester
Term: Full time (37 hours), 1 year fixed term contract (with potential for extension)

Groundwork East has over 30 years of experience in delivering bespoke projects that use the environment as a catalyst for building a more sustainable future.  As our activities develop and our area of activity expands we are looking for enthusiastic, adaptable and creative people to help us continue to develop and deliver our work with local communities to improve their prospects and environment.

As a Project Officer you will have proven experience of delivering environmental community and education projects alongside identified partner organisations and local groups. This could include horticultural & gardening projects, family learning & natural play projects as well as community consultation, engagement and outreach delivery. You will have the ability to deliver a wide range of projects to deadlines, managing your time effectively, and you will also have experience of supervising and managing volunteers. You will have a passion for environmental and community issues and the flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.

The roles require a valid driving license, access to a vehicle with a willingness to travel, excellent communication, organisational and diplomacy skills.  This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

Closing date: Wednesday 16 October 2019, midday
Interview date: Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 October 2019 either in Ipswich, Norwich or Colchester. (Location to be decided.)
