Senior Youth Worker, Groundwork East
Salary: £24,988 to £28,675 plus attractive benefits
Term: Full time, permanent contract
Location: Office based in Stockwood Park, Luton with some evening-based work
We are seeking a well organised, enthusiastic and motivated individual to help develop and deliver an innovative range of youth-focused services within Bedfordshire and South Cambridgeshire. Working within a team of dedicated youth workers, the role is a blend of face to face delivery and project management. Activity will include mentoring, evening-based youth clubs and themed project work alongside budgeting, staff management and programming to set deadlines.
The successful candidate will have:
- A nationally or locally recognised JNC youth work qualification
- Evidence of effective project management including staff management
- Experience working with challenging and/or at-risk young people
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- An ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
