London Communities Micro Grant Fund is available to grassroots organisations seeking funding to support wellbeing, resilience and belonging across London.
The London Communities Micro Grant Fund is available to grassroots organisations that are already making a difference in their communities. The Fund is awarding grants to support wellbeing, resilience and belonging across London.
The London Communities Micro Grant Fund offers grants of up to £5,000. Applications are now open to grassroots and community-led organisations working with some of London’s most marginalised and underserved communities.
Priority groups that Thrive LDN is looking to fund are;
- Small charities and voluntary organisations
- Community groups and networks
- Faith-based organisations
- Community Interest Companies (CICs)
- Mutual aid and peer support groups
- Informal or unconstituted groups with suitable arrangements to receive funding
About London Communities Micro Grant Fund
Thrive LDN is a public mental health partnership to ensure all Londoners have an equal opportunity for good mental health and wellbeing; ensuring everyone living or working in London is treated fairly and can live a happy and healthy life.
Many people experiencing poverty, discrimination, displacement, crisis and social exclusion are least likely to access traditional mental health support. This programme recognises the important role that trusted community organisations play in supporting wellbeing, building resilience and creating a sense of belonging.
The London Communities Micro Grant Fund will invest in the power of local organisations by supporting their delivery and strengthening their resilience. The Fund is being delivered by Groundwork London. It is commissioned by Thrive LDN with support and funding from the Mayor of London.
Funding available
- Up to £2,000 for organisations with an annual turnover below £300,000
- Up to £5,000 for organisations with an annual turnover below £500,000
What can be funded?
- Existing community activities and services such as:
- Mental wellbeing and resilience
- Community connection and belonging
- Social inclusion and participation
- Peer support and community networks
- Arts, culture and creative wellbeing activities
- Safe spaces and community events
Who Can Apply?
- Small charities and voluntary organisations
- Community groups and networks
- Faith-based organisations
- Community Interest Companies (CICs)
- Mutual aid and peer support groups
- Informal or unconstituted groups with suitable arrangements to receive funding
This fund is intended to support and strengthen existing community activity. Funding is not available for entirely new initiatives. Applicants must be able to demonstrate evidence of previous delivery or an established track record within their community.
Timeline
Projects should be designed so that the majority of funded activity is delivered and reported on by 14 December 2026.
Successful applicants will be required to submit a monitoring report detailing activities delivered, participant numbers and outcomes achieved. Grant payments will be made on a 75% upfront / 25% in arrears basis.

Information Workshops
Applicants are invited to attend an online grant information workshop to find out more about the London Communities Micro Grant Fund. The session will provide an overview of the fund, including who can apply, what can be funded, key dates and how to complete the application process. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions. Please register your attendance below.

Accessibility Support
If you need specific help to enable you to apply for funding, that is not available via Groundwork we have an Accessibility Pot of up to £4000 that can support you to apply. You can apply to the Accessibility Pot for up to £500 per applicant for specific assistance needed to help you complete the application form such as:
- British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation
- Translation or interpreting services
- Scribe support
- Assistance completing the application form
You must submit your Accessibility Pot before applying.
