Connect To Work Cumbria
Connect to Work offers free, personalised employment support for people facing barriers to finding or staying in work. The programme is led by Inspira, with Groundwork North East & Cumbria proud to be a delivery partner, working collaboratively to provide high-quality, person-centred support across Cumbria. Together, we combine local knowledge, employment expertise and specialist support to help people overcome barriers, achieve their employment goals and build sustainable careers.
Using the proven Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach, we take the time to understand your unique circumstances, strengths, skills and career aspirations. Our dedicated advisers will work with you to identify suitable paid employment opportunities that match your interests and abilities, providing practical guidance and encouragement throughout your journey.
Where we deliver
We deliver this project across Cumbria, in Carlise, Allerdale, Copeland and Barrow but our wider delivery partners also deliver in Eden. We are also deliver this programme in Newcastle and North Tyneside, if you are from one of those two areas please click here to visit the correct page.
What we offer
Connect to Work is a FREE, personalised employment support programme designed for people who face significant challenges getting into or staying in work.
The programme is available to anyone living in Cumbria who is either currently out of work and looking to return to employment, or already in work but experiencing challenges that may affect their ability to stay in their role. Whether you’re living with a disability, managing a long-term health condition, or facing multiple barriers to employment, we’re here to help. Participants can receive up to 12 months of tailored one-to-one support from an experienced employment adviser.
