Connect To Work
Connect to Work is a locally led initiative in Newcastle, North Tyneside, Durham and Cumberland that helps employers access motivated candidates who are ready to work, but may need tailored support due to health-related barriers.
Working in partnership with local authorities, health services and community organisations, we use the proven Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model — place, train and maintain. This means individuals are matched quickly to suitable roles, receive on-the-job support, and continue to be supported to succeed and stay in employment.
For employers, this approach reduces recruitment risk and increases retention. Our teams work with you to understand your business needs, provide ongoing in-work support, and help create inclusive workplaces that benefit both staff and organisations.
By connecting health and employment support, Connect to Work helps people return to work sustainably while supporting local employers to fill vacancies, grow their workforce and contribute to a stronger, more inclusive local economy.
