The Go Play team at Groundwork West Midlands has been delivering exciting, fun and adventurous play activities across Sandwell. Funded by Sandwell Council, the project has brought play services to over 10,000 participants since its creation in 2017.

On Go Play, we pride ourselves on putting play at the centre of everything we do. As play activators, we will be providing play opportunities that may not be readily available to families every day. The reason we do this is because we are play champions, and we recognise every child’s right to play.  We are also play educators, so children will have the chance to learn new skills or consolidate old ones, all underpinned by having fun.

Look out for us around Tipton at different indoor and outdoor venues, where we will be providing a safe and secure play environment for children aged 6-12 (up to 16 with additional needs).

“Working with Go Play is a massive help for us, because it helps us build a rapport with local families. There tends to be a barrier between the police and some residents, so working with projects like Go Play helps to break that barrier down.” – Michelle Paddock, Tipton PCSO

“We stumbled across the sessions by accident, but we are really glad we did. We will definitely be coming to more sessions in the future.” – Parent at Glebefields Library
