Current opportunities with Groundwork in South Yorkshire

Become a young Green Leader

If you’re 16 – 20 year-old and want to make change where you live, our Green Leaders programme is for you! You’ll develop an idea for a community green space project then work with others to make it a reality.

Make change in your neighbourhood

If you live in Wythenshawe, Gorton, Crumpsall or Harphurhey we’re keen to understand what challenges you face in your neighbourhood. Together, through the In Our Nature programme, we’ll find solutions to address these issues, tacking climate change at the same time.

Get involved in West Gorton’s Green Community Hub

If you live in West Gorton you’ve probably visited the new community park. We’re working with the new Friends Of group to make this fantastic greenspace a ‘Green Community Hub’.

Drop in to our youth club

We run weekly youth clubs in Chorlton and Crumpsall for young people aged 11-18 where we host a range of activities from video games to cooking to crafts. Drop in and say hello!

Join our Facebook community!

We set up the Greening Greater Manchester Facebook Group as an online space where everyone can share their ideas on how to make Manchester greener and more resilient to the effects of climate change. Please join & share your ideas!
