Protecting Green-Spaces and creating jobs in Greater Manchester
In 2021 Groundwork Greater Manchester created 11 new jobs, eight of which were for young people kick starting their career in the environmental sector, to protect and improve green-spaces in both natural and urban environments across the city region.
Guided by our experienced Team Mentors the new recruits work in two teams; the first team are working to improve the accessibility and biodiversity of 5 nature sites managed by Groundwork and the second team are focusing on creating pocket parks and improving roadside verges in urban areas.
