Groundwork Wales Volunteering

Are you considering volunteering with Groundwork?

Whether you’re looking to gain work experience and broaden your horizons, fulfil your passion for environmental issues and community regeneration, or simply spend a few hours a week working on projects which benefit your community, we can offer something to suit everyone.

Volunteering at Groundwork can help improve your employability – in fact many of our existing staff began their careers with us as volunteers – or can help fulfil requirements of university or college courses. You may even be looking to volunteer in your spare time after retirement or just simply want to get out, meet new people and give back to the community. Whatever the age, whatever the reason, from office based volunteering, to practical ‘hands-on’ roles we have something to offer everyone.

If you’d like to find out more about any specific roles available, or have any questions about volunteering with Groundwork, please contact:

Groundwork Wales on 01495 222605 or wales@groundwork.org.uk

Investing in Volunteers

In July 2018 we were awarded ‘Investors in Volunteers’ accreditation, which is the UK wide quality standard for organisations involving volunteers. It aims to improve the quality of volunteering experience for volunteers and to encourage organisations to better recognise the enormous contribution made by volunteers. Investing in Volunteers is managed in Wales by Wales Council for Voluntary Action.

We are delighted that our wonderful volunteers – and the organisation – have the recognition they deserve through this award. There wouldn’t be a Groundwork without our volunteers. This award has enabled us to continuously improve our offer to volunteers, and supports their ongoing development.

Current volunteering opportunities include:
