THE ECO-CENTRE
Sustainable Business Space
The Eco Centre was designed and built by Groundwork South and North Tyneside, and opened in 1996. The building was a pioneering venture to demonstrate renewable technologies and sustainable design, almost 30 years on, the Eco Centre still remains one of Europe’s most sustainable buildings and serves as the headquarters for Groundwork South and North Tyneside.
Eco-friendly Office Space
The Eco-Centre offers affordable office space to let with sizes ranging from 30sqm to 104sqm, with flexible leasing arrangements to suit your needs.
The Patterson and MacFarlane meeting and conference rooms are available for public hire and our expert team can provide hospitality services, including buffet lunches, if required. The Patterson Room is renowned as an excellent training venue and used regularly by external companies. We invest all our income from rentals into the local community.

Route2Work College
Enrich, Grow and Achieve
Route2Work College, based at the Eco-Centre, Hebburn, is an inclusive place of learning for post 16 SEN students. The Eco-Centre and Jarrow Hall Farm, provide enriching environments for students to grow and achieve.
