West Boldon Lodge Environmental Education Centre, ran in partnership with National Grid, boasts an eco-friendly log cabin built on 13-hectares of mixed habitat, including pond, meadow and woodland. Making full use of the diverse natural habitats, West Boldon Lodge offer a range of activities and seasonal events for schools, families and groups, that aim to help re-connect with nature and raise awareness of environmental issues.
For Families
West Boldon Lodge offer a range of outdoor activities and events for the whole family to enjoy. From bug hunts to pond dipping, campfire cooking and nature trails, you will find something on offer that the whole family can enjoy together.

We work with primary, and secondary schools to deliver tailored sessions in-line with the national curriculum. We deliver Alternative Education programmes, and offer one-to-one sessions with SEN individuals, helping to gain skills and confidence and improve health and wellbeing.
