Get Involved

Are you looking for something fun and friendly to get involved with? – We offer a range of different groups, activities and events delivered from our visitor centres, West Boldon Lodge, Marsden Road Health and Wellbeing Centre, and Jarrow Hall Anglo-Saxon Farm, Village and Bede Museum.

Being part of an artist collective inspired me to create stronger work, and I’ve met some lovely people too!

Why join a Community Group?

Joining a community is good for many reasons, it can help to connect with people who share a common interest, goal, or identity and create a sense of wellbeing. By being part of a community, has the following advantages:

– You can learn new skills and knowledge from other members of the community. For example, if you join a community of programmers, you can learn different programming languages, frameworks, and best practices from your peers.

– You can get support and feedback from other members of the community. For example, if you join a community of writers, you can get constructive criticism and encouragement from other writers who understand your challenges and aspirations.

– You can network and collaborate with other members of the community. For example, if you join a community of entrepreneurs, you can find potential partners, investors, and customers for your business ideas.

– You can have fun and enjoy yourself with other members of the community. For example, if you join a community of gamers, you can play games together, chat about your favourite games, and participate in tournaments and events.

In conclusion, joining a community group is good because it can help you grow personally and professionally, as well as enrich your life with meaningful relationships and experiences.
